The Border Security Force (BSF) under the Ministry of home affairs, Government of India, has released a notification citing 26 vacancies for the Group C post (Air Wing). Eligible and interested male and female Indian citizens can apply online for filling the following vacancies:

Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (Assistant Sub Inspector)
- (i) 3 years Diploma in the relevant trade recognized by the Directorate General Civil Aviation. Or Group “X” Diploma issued by the Indian Air Force.
- (ii) Preferably 2 years relevant aviation experience after completion of Diploma course.
Assistant Radio Mechanic (Assistant Sub-Inspector)
- i) 3 years Diploma recognized by the Directorate General Civil Aviation Telecommunication, or Electronic Engineering. Or Group “X” Radio Diploma issued by the Indian Air Force.
- (ii) Preferably 2 years experience in maintenance or overhauling of communication or Navigation equipment fitted in Aircraft or Helicopter held by Border Security Force.
Constable (Storeman)
- (i) Matriculation pass with Science; or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- (ii) Must have 2 years working experience in store or warehousing of any Government or Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Organization or any company or private firm or Institution.
- (iii) Working knowledge in computer or having prior aviation experience is preferable.
- Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (Assistant Sub Inspector) : Not exceeding 28 years
- Assistant Radio Mechanic (Assistant Sub-Inspector) : Not exceeding 28 years
- Constable (Storeman) : 20 – 25 years
- Note: Crucial date for determining the age limit shall be closing date of receipt of online application. To know upper age relaxation for the reserved category, please refer to the section “Age Limit and Relaxation” in the notification.
- 1st phase examination : Written examination
- 2nd phase examination : Documentation, Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Trade Test & Medical Examination, Review Medical Examination
- Drawal of final Merit List : After completion of 1st and 2nd Phase Examinations, Merit List (post wise and category wise) will be drawn separately based on marks secured/obtained by the candidates in the written examination. In cases of a tie in mark, the following steps are followed to resolve the tie:
- i) Marks in written examination
- ii) Date of Birth, with older candidates placed higher
- iii) Alphabetical order in the first name of the candidate appears.
