Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) invites online applications from Indian male nationals for the posts of Bus Driver and Bus Conductor on a regular basis in Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) U.T. Chandigarh.
Only those applications which are successfully filled through the designated Website of CTU and found in order shall be accepted. Candidates should go through the Recruitment Notification carefully before applying for the post and ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions like Age-Limit/ Essential Qualifications (EQs)/Category, etc. as indicated in the Notification. Post, Number of Posts, Pay Scale
- Bus Driver, 46 vacancies, the Pay Scales shall be as and when finalized by Chandigarh Administration as per the rules.
- Bus Conductor, 131 vacancies, the Pay Scales shall be as and when finalized by Chandigarh Administration as per the rules.
- Only male candidates are allowed and must be Indian.
- For Bus drivers : 25 – 37 years
- For Bus conductors : 18 – 37 years
- Age relaxation for SC is 5 years, for OBC is 3 years and for Ex-servicemen/DSM is as per the Government rule.
- The crucial date for determining the eligibility on Age criteria is 01-Jan-2023
- Age Proof: The Matriculation certificate or equivalent academic certificate is the only acceptable document for age proof.
For Bus Drivers
- 1) 10th pass from any recognized board/University.
- 2) Should hold a valid License to drive Heavy Transport Vehicle / Heavy Motor Vehicle.
- 3) Should hold a HTV/HMV driving license at least 05 years old.
- 4) Should not have been convicted for any offense indicating that he is not capable of performing efficiently to the duties for the post of driver.
- 5) In case of ex-servicemen candidates who possess Army matriculation certificates shall also be eligible
For Bus Conductors
- 1) 10+2 pass from any recognized board/University.
- 2) Should hold a valid conductor’s license issued from the Govt. recognized institute.
For Bus Drivers
- All eligible candidates shall be called for a written test (objective type multiple choices).
- The candidate who qualifies the above said test will be called for the Driving Skill Test in the order of merit in respective category @ ratio of 1:10, till the vacancies are filled or list of eligible pass candidates exhausted whichever is earlier. Driving Skill Test shall be conducted at one of the Govt. approved/Govt. Run Centers. Candidate has to appear for such a test at his own expense.
- The passing of Driving Skill Test is must for appointment and any candidate failing in driving skill test shall not be given appointment. Only one chance to pass the Driving Skill Test shall be given.
- There shall be no personal interview. Waiting list shall also be maintained in each category/Sub-Category.
For Bus Conductors
- All eligible candidates shall be called for a written test (objective type multiple choices).
- The final selection shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written test. In case two or more candidates secure equal marks/merit at the last point, the candidates elder in age shall be considered for selection. There shall be no personal interview. Waiting lists shall also be prepared in each category.

The applicants are advised to submit only a single application. However, if due to any unavoidable situation, if he submits another/multiple applications, then the application against which application fee is paid shall be considered. In case application fee is paid against more than one application by same candidate then the application with highest application number will be considered.
