Yantra India Limited (YIL), a Govt of India Enterprises, ministry of defense, manufactures Military Grade components and Ancillary products. As a part of the Government of India’s Skill India Mission, Yantra India Limited (YIL) has invited online applications from Indian citizens for its 57th Batch of Trade Apprentices Training in its factories located in different States across India.

Yantra India Limited (YIL) has announced 5395 vacancies in different trades for Non-ITI and ITI candidates. 3508 vacancies have been assigned to ITI candidates, and 1887 vacancies to Non-ITI candidates. Important Note: Candidates who have already applied through the Government of India portal, www.apprenticeship.gov.in are required to re-apply through the link uploaded on Yantra India Limited (YIL) website: https://www.yantraindia.co.in, under the “Career” Tab. Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship and have National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) are not eligible to apply.

The selected apprentices shall be given training in the Indian Ordnance Factories, which are located all over India.

All the candidates are advised to read the Recruitment Notification carefully before applying. And each candidate should ensure that his/her eligibility meets the eligibility criteria outlined in the notification.   • Stipend : Rs. 7000 per month for ITI and Rs. 6000 per month for non-ITI
  • Placement: All over India
  • Training Duration: Duration of Training period shall be as specified in the Apprentice Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and amendments thereof. However, for ITI candidates, training period will be reduced as per schedule I of Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and amendments thereof in the respective trade.

Nationality

  • The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Age

  • 15 – 24 years as on 30-Mar-2023.

Upper Age Relaxation

  • For SC/ST candidates : 5 years
  • For OBC (non creamy layer) : 3 years
  • For Physically Handicapped (PH) / Physically Challenged (PC) or Differently Abled Candidates : Additional 10 (Ten) years over the category limit
  • For ITI Candidates : Upper age limit is further relaxed by the period of training already undergone as per the normal duration of NCVT/SCVT, in the relevant trade.

Education As On 01-Mar-2023

For Non ITI Category

  • Should have Passed Madhyamik (class X std. or equivalent) as on date of notification for applying with minimum 50% marks as per criteria of that Board. (as per their Marksheet) and with minimum 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each.

For ITI Category

  • 1. Should have passed relevant trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette notification of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961 with minimum 50% marks. The relevant trade to be considered will be strictly on the basis of Schedule I of Apprentice Act 1961 (and amendments thereof).
  • 2. In addition, candidate must have passed Madhyamik / Class X std. or equivalent (Minimum 50% marks in Matriculate / Class X std).

Selection Method

Selection will be done on the basis of merit list. The merit list will be prepared separately for Non-ITI and ITI category.

For Non ITI Category

  • The merit list for Non-ITI category will be prepared factory-wise on the basis of overall percentage of marks in Madhyamik or matriculation (Class X standard or equivalent), aggregate in all subjects or best of 5 subjects as per criteria of that 10th Board, as entered by the candidate in the online application form.
  • For Non-ITI category, a factory-wise common merit list will be prepared and the trades will be allotted by each factory on Merit-cum-choice basis after selection.

For ITI Category

  • The Merit List for ITI category will be prepared factory-wise and trade-wise, on the basis of simple average of percentage of marks both in Matriculation and ITI (minimum 50% in aggregate in each).
  • For the purpose of calculation of percentage of Matriculation, marks obtained and entered by the candidate in online application will be considered (aggregate of all subjects or best of 5 subjects, as per guideline of that 10th Board), and for calculation of percentage of ITI marks, marks mentioned in provisional/final certificate will be taken.

  • Candidates must read the instructions and guidelines provided in the notification thoroughly before proceeding to apply.
  • Candidates must fill their personal details carefully. Candidates should ensure that their name, father’s name, date of birth, marks obtained shall exactly match with what is recorded in Matriculation or equivalent certificate etc. Any deviation found during Document Verification may result in cancellation of candidature and debarment.
  • Candidates are advised to indicate their active mobile number and valid e-mail ID in the ONLINE application and keep them active during the entire engagement process as all important messages will be sent by email/SMS, which will be treated as deemed to have been read by the candidates.
  • While filling up the application form through the website, the applicant must be ready with all the documents ( such as a scanned copy of the 10th mark sheet, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, etc.,) relevant to her/his eligibility.
